Discussion: Edward Eager

I just read this in the 4/29/03 issue of the Hollywood Reporter:

Columbia Pictures has picked up Edward Eager's book "Half Magic" for David Heyman to produce alongside Sunbow Entertainment.
"Magic," first published in 1954, is a comedy about four children who wish that they could have a magical adventure like the ones they read about in their favorite books. They embark on a wondrous journey when they find a talisman that turns out to be half magic.
Columbia co-president of production Matt Tolmach and production VP Rachel O'Connor are overseeing the project. The studio hopes that Heyman can bring the same kind of pedigree to the novel as he has done with Warner Bros. Pictures "Harry Potter" film franchise.

I'm excited!
