Refuses to read McFab?? What happens if he would read ?

>>By Lynn   (Tuesday, 25 Oct 2005 14:24)

Forgive my cross-posting, but this article was really intriguing. Couldn't help wondering what DF's "insider's insight" might be... :o\

http://uruknet.info/?p=17059&hd=0&size=1&l=x

"A senior British military police officer in Iraq, Captain Ken Masters, was found hung in his military accommodation in Basra on October 15. ...

In a statement on Masters’ death, Britain’s Ministry of Defence said the "circumstances were not regarded as suspicious." ...

Masters, aged 40, had 24 years’ experience in the British Army. Married with two children, he was due to return to Britain in just two weeks. Reports indicate that he had displayed no signs of stress or illness and that no suicide notes were found at the scene. The Mirror newspaper cited "senior military sources and colleagues" in Basra saying that his death had been a "devastating surprise." ..."

>>By am-i-binned   (Wednesday, 26 Oct 2005 17:32)

...errr... maybe I should elaborate:

"Masters was commander of the Royal Military Police’s Special Investigations Branch (SIB), charged with investigating allegations of mistreatment of Iraqi civilians by British soldiers. ...

In recent weeks, Masters was thought to have been involved in the investigation into the events of September 19, when Iraqi police arrested two British undercover Special Air Service (SAS) officers in Basra. ... "

Great Ninj, really wondering if he wears PJ's. Oh, I didn't ask that one, did I ?

>>By Lynn   (Saturday, 29 Oct 2005 23:08)

Yes you did ask but he might have deleted that one himself and if you ask me, the PJ called "commando" or "Action Man" comes to mind !! ;-))

>>By Ninjawoman   (Sunday, 30 Oct 2005 20:18)

>>By Ninjawoman   (Thursday, 17 Nov 2005 11:39)

me2! I am now an elf on a mission... anyone want to plan the mission? I'll make the hot chocolate!
Btw - I just got an e-mail back from DF himself, he's in Baghdad right now. And apparently his hotel is in a bad state if you know what I mean.. Well, I got the sense that he's doing okay. I abit worried about writing this too you - not because I don't trust you guys.. But do you think he'll be mad at me for telling you? :(
But i'm wondering: does he have any family of his own? He seems to be traveling alot.

>>By Elendar   (Sunday, 20 Nov 2005 19:53)

Furious, he will be livid .. but who cares, we still want to know ! ;-)

>>By Ninjawoman   (Sunday, 20 Nov 2005 20:39)

No he won't be mad Elendar.
Thanx for sharing - and no idea about family, I think he'll keep that to himself.

>>By Lynn   (Sunday, 20 Nov 2005 21:22)

Lynn.. I can understand that..

>>By Elendar   (Sunday, 20 Nov 2005 22:13)

check out DF's site mid to end of the week and you will see a pic of his hotel room in the gallery,, "Ventilated iraqi style" he should get a discount anyway. newsletter to be posted aswell.

>>By Rikky   (Monday, 21 Nov 2005 12:20)

Excellent news about the newsletter, will keep and eye or two out.
Btw, any more people who feel the urge to promote the books ?

>>By Ninjawoman   (Monday, 21 Nov 2005 12:47)

What can we do to promote him?

>>By Elendar   (Monday, 21 Nov 2005 12:54)

WEll when you have a gift dillema this year for a relative, give a book ? Have the book placed semi-casually on the coffee table when you are entertaining guests ?

>>By Ninjawoman   (Monday, 21 Nov 2005 16:19)

I tried another tactic.. talk about df so much, they see themselves forced to read FIA and his other books.. Then we'll have them hooked..
