Got the book last week, half way through now and I enjoy it very much. I thought I'd miss Stratton too, but that's not the case. I do understand the work title now, but I still think it sucked, The Protector sounds much better allthough I sometimes mix up The Operative and The Protector, they sound very similar. And this is worth mentioning because.......? ok, enough ramblings.
One reminder for Mr Falconer: "But I’ll probably be back to the island next month and I’ll write a more detailed account of this most interesting place on my return."

Newsletter pidgons made it once again !! Hurray for the brave beasts who work so very hard to keep us in the know. However this is not the normal ( what is normal??) up beat letter we have grown to love and enjoy. Must be the topic... oh yes that reminds me, better call the travelagent and cancell my see/drive holiday for Nigeria. Maybe Duncan can juggle another bizz adventure on the side and become a travelagent ? The only true safe way to see the world ? Duncan Tours will provide it!

The newsletter was a good read, perhaps DF should do a FIA follow up, seems he's got enough stories to tell. Not so sure though to call those people 'backwards and ignorant' for not moving on the western standards. As if our world is so great and safe?

I finished the protector , ( I am a slow reader ) Mallory was a likeable charactor, would love to see a some pics of Tanseen though. Storey aside it seemed that it may have been a good insight into the life of a risk advisor.
