Very informative about the early Presidends and , in my opinion, how closely they relate to modern day politics.\ The fact that people spent so much time journaling and corresponding , lets us have a glimpse into their lives, both personal and public.

I am looking for reference material on David McCullough. Specifically, I need to know if he said and where he said
"I've never seen Members of Congress as an unbroken parade of clowns and thieves and posturing windbags. What should be spoken of more widely is the great victories that have been won, the decisions of courage, and the visions achieved."
and
"We have had many presidents, but no kings, and the Congress is principally responsible for that."
Thanx
