what is wrong with you people? has no one read dan fante? jesus. all the bukowski fans in the world should hang their heads in shame. not only did buk rip off his old man but dan basically rewrites buk's entire ouvre as if the old drunk wasn't a preening hipster douche-bag, but an honest to god humanist and above all, human. don't get me wrong, i love buk, but any of his fans need to read the fante's and begin to believe in something besides the sound of their own voice
