So far I am very impressed with The Theif Lord right now. I am on page 107, the part where The Theif Lord is opening the message this man gave him. I even told my friends about it!

This was the most fun book. It has everything you could want: orphans, magic, a beautiful setting, and interesting characters.

i think Corneleia Funke writes the best books, such as the huge hit, the bestselling novel, The Thief Lord.this book was GREAT!! even my mother wanted to read it.

I really enjoyed The Thief Lord and the amazing adventures that happened to the kids in the book. I just finished it today and I'm searching the net to find out if Cornelia Funke is writing a sequel to it. If anyone has info on a second one post it!

I thought that this book is wonderfully put together. with exciting characters and a such well described setting that can really feel like you're in the beautiful city of Venice. This book really left me hanging until the very end, then I wan't more. I hope there is a sequal.

I just finshed this boom yesterday, and I love it-the characters are lovely, I love Riccio and Hornet. The city of venice is really magiacl-i love when that 'natural' magic occurs, thats when you believe. Thankyou Corneilia, im going to read the book to my little cousins. You are my second favourite german author after the one and only Micheal Ende.

The theif lord is now one of my favorite books. I hope she writes more books so i can read them!

i think the book was horrible because it dragged on and on. This author just needs to get to the point already. Good plot though...

>>By stinky   (Wednesday, 2 Apr 2003 03:36)

the main character and hornet should make out with each other

>>By lovemasta   (Wednesday, 2 Apr 2003 03:38)

i think stinky should shut up and lovemasta is a perv and the book is good.

>>By yknits   (Friday, 4 Apr 2003 23:11)

i think that the book is a little bit of a run on but it was still a really good book and i enjoyed it.

>>By roger   (Monday, 7 Apr 2003 02:32)

The book blew i thought that was the longest most run on book in the entire universe. I would rather watch 3 hours of the news then read that book again

>>By semor   (Monday, 7 Apr 2003 02:33)

She is one of my most favored artists she made me imagine what was going on in "The Theif Lord".

Realistic... Amazing... A work of art... A masterpiece.

I really enjoyed The Thief Lord--the Venetian setting & multidimensional characters brought the book to life. The story is both sweet and bittersweet and has appeal for adults as well as children. It's a mixture of Oliver Twist, Chronicles of Narnia, and Catcher in the Rye.

This is the best book ever! I think it's even better than the Potter books! The descriptions were beautiful and it has a rich atmosphere. The way Cornelia wrote the thief lord was that you will never feel bored. I couldn't stop reading it until I finished.

I think that Cornelia Funke is an amazing woman to have thought up and written such an amazing book as the Theif Lord. She is one of my idols, as I hope to become an author myself. She is truly wonderous, and I admire her endlessly. I hope she continues feeding her amazing mind and in doing that, continues feeding her very starving readers.

i was searching the net for fun when i read about 'The Theif Lord' and after that i planned to ask my school librarian if she could get it for me, and then when i got back to school, there it was, sitting on the shelf, and i hadn't even askd for it yet! i loved the book, the characters were great and the twists in the plot even more. i recommend 'The Theif Lord' for everybody who is anybody!

>>By Alison*   (Wednesday, 14 May 2003 10:26)

this book is one of the best ive read it really stirs your emotions if you can read this book and not see the true beauty of it you have a heart of stone. anyone whom has read 'The Thief Lord' and loved it should also read JRR Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' and they would probably also enjoy the 'Wind on Fire' trilogy by William Nickelson.

*By the way the earlier entry by "ykints" whom said that "stinky" and "lovemasta" were jerks is pretty stupid because ykints is stinky backwards so most likely it is the same person whom woul djust be talking bad about himself which is pretty stupid and since you have no apparent love for the said book you might as well not waste time aroung here

>>By claire   (Sunday, 18 May 2003 18:21)

I'm writing a book report on her book "The Thief Lord". She is a great author and I love her books!!!!!!!!!!!
