Discussion: Charles Stross

I've read Singularity Sky and the The Family Trade. Stross is a writer with a flair for describing the the more extreme reaches of technological progress and making you feel like you might be a home in his strange but familiar world. I am not sure about his characters though and I get the impression that he develops them with one eye to his market. Iain M Banks does people better, but Stross is definitely going places with his stories. I'm sure I'll read more of his stuff.

Accelerando is definitely worth reading, makes William Gibson look like a Victorian doctor compared to Craig Venter

I have tried finishing Accelerando three times now however, I still can't get past the fifth page without falling into a deep snooze. So many damned acroynms.
