I can remember thumbing through my grandfathers fading copy of The Decameron when i was like eleven, and thinking that those old friars and nuns had it pretty good!

i also recommend Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" charley
lots of nuns and friars and you know Chaucer owes a lot to Boccaccio
