Ann Victoria Robert’s first novel (1989) entitled Louise Elliott is an historical romantic work of fiction set in York City England during the Victorian era.
I enjoyed it immensely! It’s a large book but the text flowed. The lives thoughts and emotions of the characters reveal those which prove nothing is new under the sun but is woven with sensitivity and true craft. The book’s appeal for me was such I awaited eagerly for the follow up volume which commenced mentioning people connected with those in the previous volume.
A different treatment was that of shifting in and out of more modern times to those during WW1 and family connections. It is entitled Liam’s Story, or in USA Morning’s Gate. And is as captivating as the author's first.

A third novel called Dagger Lane which for various reasons I’ve put off reading, will be rectified at some point I’m sure, because Ann Victoria Roberts has the ability to draw one in with such skill which renders compelling reading.

Moon Rising also historical romantic fiction is set in the seaside resort of Whitby Yorkshire. Again during the Victorian era but a diversion from the earlier two books, the main character being that of Bram Stoker - author of Dracula. His obsession of gathering facts and folk lore to furnish his writing are connected with his passionate romantic affair with a much younger woman, which ends when she discovers that he has a wife in London.
This tale does contain dark areas, but difficult to lay aside having begun reading, and vividly remains in ones thoughts for some time following completion. Again the blending of setting and well researched facts is amazing.

I believe the above four volumes are Ann Victoria Roberts total published writings to date, if not I should very much like to be aware of any others.
