He's a phsycho that most likely worships the devil. He doesn't realize how many lives he could have effected and many people probably committed suicide by jumping off a cliff or something terrible... i mean what was he thinking when he wrote the devils dictionary... all those awful terms and meanings in that book... who would ever want to read something by ambrose gwinnett bierce.... reading one of his works would probably send any straight minded man to a luney bin

Well, I don't know about being sent to the looney bin, never having been straight minded. But I do know who would like to read something by Ambrose Gwinnett Bierce: those who love tales of the weird and uncanny, those who want to
know what it was REALLY like to fight in the American Civil War, and those who see wisdom in mocking the world's pretentions. Bierce was the meanest S.O.B. in American literature, but there was a spark of truth in his bitterness. He didn't worship Satan--or anybody else, for that matter. Try reading those awful definitions again---you'll be furious, but you might learn something.
