Discussion: Alberto Moravia

i'm looking for any theory on phallic novel

>>By miki

I read his "Two Women". Very engaging and also disturbing it is. why is Moravia obsessed withe criminality and sexuality?. Money and Sex are his chief obsessions, it seems.
His novels do not present a 'redeemed' human being. I get the feeling that man is nothing more than a brute who cannot be any beter however much civilization may progress

I'm looking for any new ideas you may want to share with me about Moravia's attitude towards women

I get the feeling that Moravias attitude is that he wishes to express the power that women illicit over man , that the fact that they posses the key to pleasure and that by unlocking this door of pleasure they have imprisoned man .
